Tucked away on Colonial Drive, Sandy Springs Charter Middle School was founded in 1975 and became a charter school in 2009. The school of 900 students institutes a uniform policy and has a host of after-school clubs and activities. "After-School All-Stars," a program provided in part by Sandy Springs Charter and Georgia State University, provides tutoring and special interest clubs five days a week throughout the school year. Parents support Sandy Springs Charter Middle School Foundation. The non-profit has funded sports, a sound system and extracurricular activities.
