This restaurant has stood sentinel on this site since 1960, so it has seen the numerous changes that Sandy Springs has experienced. In some ways, the fare at Steak and Shake seem like that old drugstore back in the early 60s, a friendly place where the shakes would tempt you. That has certainly not changed, as several varieties of the tasty treat await you, along with a full menu, from breakfast to burgers and every point in between. When driving down the busy, sometimes gridlocked section of Roswell Road, look for the sign, not the restaurant. It is far enough back off the road to allow for ample parking, but it is easy to miss. You don't want to go another 50 years before finding it.
