Update: Sandy Springs Chase Ends In Atlanta

Two are in custody while police are searching for a third.

A police chase that began in Sandy Springs and ended in Atlanta has resulted in two suspects in custody and at least one other suspect still at-large. Sandy Springs Police Capt. Keith Zgonc said two suspects robbed a man carrying an undisclosed amount of money in the parking lot of Bank of America on Roswell Road. “The suspects jumped into a car further down the parking lot,” Zgonc said.   After receiving a description of the vehicle Sandy Springs Police spotted the white Chevrolet Monte Carlo, with a drive–out tag, on Ga. 400 southbound and chased the suspects to I-285 and Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. Tree Down, Sandy Springs Roads Closed for Several Hours

A large tree is down and has caused damage to wires.

  Sandy Springs Police report Mount Vernon Highway will be blocked between Glen Errol and Heards Ferry Roads for approximately five hours. A large tree is down and has caused damage to wires. Crews are working but it will take a good bit of time to repair.

Law enforcement ran Georgia Special Olympics.

  Sandy Springs Police partnered with Dunwoody Police for the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Georgia Special Olympics, on Thursday. The four-mile run started at the site of the old Target building on Johnson Ferry Road and ended at the Publix Store, 5550 Chamblee Dunwoody Road.

Sandy Springs Police Run for Georgia Special Olympics, Thursday

The annual run that teams up the SSPD and Dunwoody Police starts at 10 a.m. at the old Target building on Johnson Ferry Road.

  Sandy Springs Police partners with Dunwoody Police, Thursday, for the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Georgia Special Olympics.  The run, which is approximately four miles, starts at 10 a.m., at Johnson Ferry Road and Sandy Springs Circle, the site of the old Target building. The run continues along Mount Vernon Highway east, crossing Roswell Road and moving into the City of Dunwoody. The run concludes at the Publix Store, 5550 Chamblee Dunwoody Road just north of Mount Vernon Highway. Staging will take place at the old Target at 9:30 a.m.

Man Arresed for Sexual Assault Near Sandy Springs

A Dunwoody man is being investigated for sexual assault and child molestation after an incident Friday.

  A 44-year-old Dunwoody man was arrested Friday in connection with a sexual assault on two potential victims. Francisco Javier Sanchez, who lives on the 4400 block of Tilly Mill Road, near Sandy Springs, is being interviewed about the incident and was charged with suspicion of sexual assault and molestation, according to Dunwoody Police. Police were called to a Dunwoody address around 2:30 p.m. Police declined to give details because the case is currently being investigated by the department's Criminal Investigation Division. An 18-year old woman and a juvenile are listed as victims in the case, according to the police report.

Attorney's Husband to Return From Texas Jail in a Few Weeks

The Fulton County District Attorney's Office pending is pending indictment for the shooting of Sandy Springs resident Adina Parson and will not be presented to a Grand Jury on Friday.

  Michael Parson has waived extradition. In the next few weeks, he will return to Fulton County from Van Zandt County Texas Jail, according to the Fulton County District Attorney’s office. The D.A. office said the case is pending indictment for the shooting of Adina Parson and will not be presented to a Grand Jury on Friday. Adina Parson suffered eight gunshot wounds, three in the head, in the late night hours of April 20, outside her apartment at Residences of Morgan Falls off Roswell Road.  This week, she was moved from Grady Hospital to the Shepherd Spinal Center.

Husband's Mug Shot: Grand Jury Scheduled to Hear Shooting Case of Sandy Springs Attorney

Although scheduled for Friday, the Grand Jury could hear the case Tuesday.

  Michael Parson is in Van Zandt County Texas Jail and could be indicted by a Grand Jury on Friday in the April 20 shooting of his wife Adina Parson. The new reality show called “Flex Lanes” is coming to 400 on May 14. I was under the impression that these lanes will only be available for the morning commute. What will happen to me if I use them in the afternoon? Will I only be glared at? As I am now? I think it's overall a pretty stupid idea, but hey, it beats a Pay per view lane, like 85! I sure am glad the governor is addressing the "Too many cars on the road" problem. Husband of Adina Parson Arrested in Texas

Sandy Springs Police issued warrants for Michael Parson, on Friday. He was wanted in connection with the April 20 shooting of his wife.

  Michael Parson, wanted in connection with the shooting of Adina Parson on April 20, has been arrested near Tyler, Texas. Parson was arrested by the Texas Highway Patrol following a traffic stop just before midnight Saturday. At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of the green Honda Civic, which police mentioned in a Friday statement. He was taken into custody without incident. He is being held in the Van Zandt County Jail in Canton, Texas. Sandy Springs Police issued warrants for Michael Parson, on Friday.
