Sandy Springs Police Seek Armed Suspect in Gas Station Robberies

In a recent robbery, the suspect pulled a black semi-auto pistol and black plastic bag from his waist band, pulled the slide on the gun and ordered the clerk to fill the bag with cash.

Sandy Springs Police are looking for the person responsible for a robbery that occurred just before 4 a.m., last Friday, at the Shell Gas Station located at 7800 Holcomb Bridge Road at the intersection of Spalding Drive. The suspect pulled a black semi-auto pistol and black plastic bag from his waist band, pulled the slide on the gun and ordered the clerk to fill the bag with cash.

It is believed the same man has committed three other gas station robberies in the metro area. He wears the same black wave cap, tan and white shoes, and uses a black semi-auto pistol. He is suspected of a robbery that occurred on June 16 in south Rockdale County, June 18 on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Chamblee, and on June 18 on Paces Ferry Road in Cobb County.

He is described as a black male, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9 and 140-160 pounds.
