Police Update: Wounded Shooting Suspect Shows up at Saint Joseph's Hospital

Sandy Springs Police say that after the suspect tried to run over two officers at the Prado shopping center, one of the officers fired at him.

A Sandy Springs Police officer involved shooting took place just before 7 p.m., Monday, at the Prado shopping center.

Crime Suppression Team members attempted to arrest the suspect in a stolen car. He attempted to flee, striking at least two police vehicles and almost striking an officer. The officer fired his weapon at the oncoming car, according to Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose. 

The suspect fled from his vehicle. 

Just before 8 p.m., the white male showed up at Saint Joseph's Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. He is confirmed as the same suspect. He is being treated at and will remain in custody. No other injuries. The suspect's name is being withheld currently.
