Sandy Springs Police Seek Homicide Shooting Suspect

Police were called to the Morgan Falls Billiards Bar 2:17 a.m., on Sunday, Sept. 15, and found 36-year old Ellis Alfoncoe Blue shot in the driver's seat of his vehicle.

Sandy Springs Police Investigators are seeking the identity of man responsible for the shooting death of a Lithonia man in the early morning hours of Sept. 15.

Police were called to the Morgan Falls Billiards Bar at 7875 Roswell Road at 2:17 a.m. and found 36-year old Ellis Alfoncoe Blue in the driver’s seat of his vehicle. His wife was in the passenger seat of the car at the time of the shooting. 

The victim and the shooter had an altercation 15 to 20 minutes earlier inside the bar. When the victim and his wife entered their car and began to leave, the suspect walked up on the driver’s side of the car and shot into the driver’s side window several times. The man then fled on foot. 

Blue was transported to North Fulton Hospital where he died of his wounds. The suspect is described as a black male who wore a white shirt with colorful printing on the front, blue denim shorts, knee length, white socks that were pulled up high. The man wore eyeglasses.

This suspect has been seen in the area previously and may be familiar to area residents. Anyone with information as to the identity of this homicide suspect is asked to contact Detective M. Tuvlin, Sandy Springs Police at 770-551-3312 and/or mtuvlin@sandyspringsga.gov.
