Forum Candidate: Millage Rate Has Tremendously Increased Services in Sandy Springs

Incumbent Tibby DeJulio and other City Council candidates told attendees at a candidate forum, Tuesday, where they stand on the millage rate and budget surplus in Sandy Springs.

How do you think Sandy Springs' budget surplus funds should be used?

City Council candidates who participated in a forum held at North Springs Charter High School, Tuesday, had a variety of things to say.

District 6 candidate Andy Bauman objects to beautification projects being a priority. Patty Berkovitz, also a District 6 candidate, said there are many important projects that surplus funds should be directed to, such as bridges.

District 3 candidate Barbara Malone cited stormwater management.

Incumbent, Tibby DeJulio from District 5 said there's $20 million in undesignated surplus, and another $45 million targeted for specific projects.
